Our Little Orange Oasis

  Fun in the Sun We have been loving the warmer weather. We will be celebrating warm weather after break with a dress up week beginning May 6th! Students have begun to have access to the 3 year old playground 2 weeks before their birthday! We have been trying many fun things on our playground as we grow. Such as, pushing friends on the swings, climbing up the slides, climbing on the swing and trying to push with our legs! (PHG 4.1). 

Davening Rabbi Birnhack joined us two times this week to Daven with us. We enjoyed singing outside and inside! We are learning more of the songs and singing them throughout the day. We sang special songs for Pesach such as learning about the four questions! (SW 5.1).   

 Cheep Cheeep We are lucky to see so many different animals living at our school! These chicks are being hatched by upper school students in the cafeteria. We watch them in the incubators and check every day to see if any new chicks have hatched. They just hatched two healthy chicks that they will be moving out of the school for them to continue to grow. (SC3.2). 

Charoset The children helped make Charoset today with Ms. Georgia. They helped cut the apples using a food chopper. They used their strong muscles to chop the fruit. They added apples, honey, grape juice, and Cinnamon. We saw the core of the apple and each got to try a slice an apple before the recipe was complete. We really enjoyed this recipe!
