Our Little Orange Oasis

Marvelous Monday! Classroom Exploration!                              We explored new toys that were rotated into the classroom. We have added cars, a ramp,                                 egg shape sorters, stuffed animals, trains, and more! (APL 2.1, ELA 1.2, M4.2).                               We are excited to have a new friend in our classroom and we enjoyed showing him our f                                  favorite things to do! (SW4.1) Gross Motor in the Gym!               We played with hula hoops, scooters, and balls! Some friends even tried to walk or crawl across the balance beam! (PHG3.1, SW4.1) Visit from the Librarian!                      We enjoyed a visit from the Librarian! She taught us about the parts of the book that help keep it safe, front cover, back cover, and spine! She read us a book about a shark and sang us some familiar songs! (APL 3.1, ELA 1.1, ELA 2.4)  

Shabbat Party & Assembly  We enjoyed a shared Shabbat party on the playground with the Olive Classroom. We also enjoyed the Shabbat Assembly with all of Giving Tree. We brought musical instruments to play along! (CA1.1).   

Cutting Practice! Teachers talked about scissor safety before we began! We talked about the things we could cut with the scissors, magazines or paper. We took a few photos of the children trying on their own with the scissors. We showed them how to put in their fingers in correctly and we practiced together as well! (PHG 3.1)  

Building Motor Skills We practiced our fine and gross motor skills in the classroom. We walked up stairs and jumped on the mat while counting. Friends participated in a fine motor activity loose parts mixing with playdough! We also practiced our stamping skills and even used fine motor skills during snack! (PHG3.1, M1.1)
